Rats!! They moved the cat food bowl!

Bobbie investigates to see if the cat food bowl for Kiki is still on top of the picnic table.

Should I or shouldn't I?

I'm so cute  . . . it hurts!

Hey Ma! I think there's something moving in there!

Take my picture! Take my picture!

Two of Daisy's 2009 babies--one decided to sit on the other one that was snoozing

Guess who's coming to dinner?!!
We found out just who was knocking over our garbage cans and stealing from the bird feeders out of the trees! On the night of Nov. 22nd I heard the garbage can get knocked over and I had to go outside to pick up all the garbage that was spilled out of the can.  Then at 12:55 AM on the 23rd I went outside to scare off what I thought was the raccoons again and ran smack dab into a 300 pound black bear!  I wondered how the raccoons had managed to keep tipping over this large garbage can we had outside our front door.  It had happened several times the week before during broad daylight and I thought nothing of going outside to pick the cans and the debris up.  I snapped this photo below after opening the kitchen window and taking a flash picture of him. It's hard to tell just how big he was from this photo, but we saw him in daylight after this and he was at least 300 pounds if not more.  Scroll down to see him.
